The hotel Marriott Beach Resort Curaçao is a colonial-style, all-open-plan hotel with a magnificent view of the ocean.

The Marriott Beach Resort Curaçao is located approximately 9 kilometers from Hato International Airport (CUR), not far from the waterfront.
The hotel does not have a shuttle service, but can help you arrange a cab ride for US$35.
Our room at the Marriott Beach Resort Curaçao was 40,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per night. The first night we were upgraded to an ocean view.
The last five nights (including one free night for 160,000 points) the hotel had no availability to offer us a suite upgrade. As a Platinum member, the hotel provided the four of us with breakfast at ÇSpice restaurant (a value of $85 per day) and access to the Reef Club lounge.
Since our room took a long time to get ready, the hotel offered us a complimentary dinner at the Zala Gastro Lounge (a $200 value!).
Renovated in 2019, the rooms of the Marriott Beach Resort Curaçao were spotless and came with a Nespresso machine and small fridge.
What we liked best was the bathroom layout with storage spaces provided for clothes and suitcases.
Served from 7:00 am to 11:00 am, it is a large buffet with multiple options; salad and fruit bar, eggs cooked to order, several types of meats, potatoes, a wide selection of pastries and breads, waffles, yogurts, cereals, etc.
Lunch is taken either inside or on the covered outdoor terrace.
The hotel’s restaurants Marriott Beach Resort Curaçao are decent, but not really extraordinary.
In addition to breakfast, the ÇSpice serves Italian food, the dishes are correct, the service too. Zala Gastro Lounge is a fusion restaurant, which serves sushi, it is very expensive.
If you’re looking for food, we recommend exploring the area around the hotel, where you’ll find excellent choices within a 10-minute walk.
There are two swimming pools at Marriott Beach Resort Curaçao The Serenity pool is for adults only and has lines for swimming laps while the other, the Harmony pool, is nicely appointed for families with different depths, several places to sit in the water and even shaded areas.
Around the pools, but also in many other outdoor areas, there are loungers, cabanas and various types of chairs and sofas.
There is a bar by each of the pools and an outdoor restaurant serving guests at the beach and pool.
At the main pool area, the hotel provides fresh water as well as sunscreen (SPF30) and towels of course.
As its name suggests, the hotel Marriott Beach Resort Curaçao is built directly on a large beach equipped with deckchairs, small tables and umbrellas, there is also a diving school.
The beach is surrounded by large rocks to break the waves (even if there were not that many) which are home to a large amount of aquatic animals and corals, which is ideal for snorkeling.
We saw many fish, a moray eel and even an octopus! Note that we brought our own freediving equipment.
During the holidays, the hotel was full, but we didn’t feel disturbed by the traffic. However, people often reserve their place on a deckchair or mattress early in the morning by dropping off their belongings.
One group had even reserved 6 deckchairs in the morning and nobody had come to lie down at 5 pm. Fortunately, you can just go talk to the employees and they will make room for you.
The hotel Marriott Beach Resort Curaçao has a lounge (the Reef Club), available to Platinum members and above, as well as to guests who choose the paid option.
Unlike other Marriotts we’ve stayed in, access to this lounge was not really controlled. It was often very crowded and from time to time someone would ask us for our room number. We suspect that many people entered without being members.
Starting at 7:00 am, the lounge offers a breakfast buffet (cold cuts, cheeses, croissants, bagels etc.) as well as soft drinks, beer and wine.
A light meal consisting of sandwiches, salads and desserts is served at noon, while from 5 pm onwards, appetizers (dumplings, imperial rolls, mozzarella sticks), aperitifs and hard liquor are offered until closing time at 7 pm.
We found this lounge very useful for a drink during the day or for an aperitif on the large terrace before the evening meal. However, in order not to compete with the hotel’s bars and restaurants, it is forbidden to consume the food and beverages offered outside the lounge.
The opposite is true; we have seen guests bring their meals from the restaurant and enjoy a complimentary glass of wine at the Marriott Beach Resort Curaçao.
We were often away on excursions until mid-afternoon so we ate outside for lunch.
On the other hand, if we had stayed in the Marriott Beach Resort Curaçaoour eating strategy would have been as follows: breakfast in the lounge early in the morning when the children wake up, use the free breakfast in the restaurant, which was much more copious, as a brunch formula shortly before 11 am, aperitif in the lounge at 5 pm and dinner in the restaurant.
Even though the Marriott Beach Resort Curaçao does not offer an all-inclusive package, there are plenty of activities to keep the kids and adults busy.
The program is posted two days in advance; beach volleyball, dance lessons, live music in the evening, painting on the beach at sunset, coconut tasting are some of the activities that took place during our stay.
In addition, children can taken care of at the Kid’s club from 10 am to noon and from 3 pm to 5 pm. Two animators are on site and offer the children crafts, play with the games available, play a game of video games or watch a movie.
