Expanded Access to Travel

CIBC has expanded the list of clients who can now book travel through the bank’s travel platform, CIBC by Expedia.

Launched in 2024, CIBC by Expedia previously welcomed only clients who held one of the bank’s Aventura-branded credit cards. However, with this expansion, clients with CIBC Adapta, Dividend, Select, Classic, Business, and other credit cards can now book their next trip through the website.

Increased Rewards

In addition to making it easier for CIBC clients to book travel, this expansion also opens a new way to earn rewards.

For example, with the CIBC Adapta Mastercard, you now earn points when you book through CIBC by Expedia. Similarly, you can earn cash back on travel purchases if you use one of the following CIBC Dividend credit cards:

What Is CIBC by Expedia?

CIBC by Expedia is a travel booking portal integrated with CIBC’s systems, letting you book travel while accessing your CIBC rewards accounts. As a result, you can easily earn and redeem rewards when you book a flight, hotel, car rental, and more.

For clients who hold more than one CIBC credit card, you can also select which card to use when you log in. This way, you can earn and redeem through different rewards programs depending on your needs.

The CIBC by Expedia portal was originally set up for CIBC’s Aventura-branded credit cards. In particular, cardholders could earn Aventura points on travel bookings and redeem Aventura points through the Aventura Flight Rewards Chart to save on future travels.
