If you don’t want to use your Marriott Bonvoy points earned with certain credit cards for free hotel nights, you can transfer them to one of the loyalty programs of Marriott Bonvoy‘s 39 partner airlines.

What’s more, for every 60,000 points transferred, you’ll receive a 5,000 -mile bonus (exceptions apply; see below for details):

Convert Marriott Bonvoy points to frequent-flyer miles

To transfer your Marriott Bonvoy points into Aeroplan points, you must log in to your Marriott Bonvoy account and go to this page:

You can then :

  • Select the program of your choice (here Aeroplan);
  • Enter your membership number ;
  • Enter the number of Marriott Bonvoy points to be transferred.

You can transfer a minimum of 3,000 points and a maximum of 240,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per day.

Note that at this stage, the 5,000 bonus points per 60,000 Marriott Bonvoy points are not displayed. You will find them directly in your Aeroplan account after the transfer.

All that’s left is to confirm the transaction. For Aeroplan, the transfer takes between 2 and 5 days to complete. The first one usually takes longer, and the subsequent ones take less than 48 hours.
