For winter 2026-2027, Quito joins Air Canada’s network as a new must-visit destination, while several other routes and increased frequencies are offered from major hubs. Toronto, in particular, will see its flights to Rio de Janeiro and Lima resume earlier in the season, with increased frequencies, while Bogot\u00e1 will also benefit from more flights. On the Montreal side, routes to Lima, Santiago, and Bogot\u00e1 will be strengthened to meet strong demand for Latin America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Concurrently, Air Canada will continue to expand its long-haul network with the launch, starting December 2026, of the only non-stop route between North America and Sapporo, Japan. Operating from Vancouver, this new route will allow travelers direct access to Hokkaido Island, renowned for its ski resorts and unique winter culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These additions are part of Air Canada’s international growth strategy, which consolidates its Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver hubs, while offering more connection options and availability for both leisure travelers and Aeroplan members.<\/p>\n\n\n
