She wants to earn <strong>5 points per dollar<\/strong> (equivalent to 5% back) and <a href=\"https:\/\/mp-2702.milesopedia.dev\/en\/offers\/cards\/new-offer-american-express-cobalt\/\">the current exceptional welcome bonus points<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n<aside class=\"component component__quote wp-block-milesgutenberg-quote\">\n\t<div class=\"component__quote__icon\">\n\t\t<i class=\"fa-solid fa-quote-left\"><\/i>\n\t<\/div>\n\t<div class=\"component__quote__content\">\n\t\t<div class=\"component__quote__content__inner\">\n\t\t\t\n\n<p>The manager told me that, at the provincial level, they were negotiating a change of bank for the terminals (from Desjardins to TD).\nThey will soon be accepting AMEX through Quebec. These terminals will be able to accept American Express cards, <strong>provided that the IGA grocery store owner activates this feature<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This means that each owner retains control over whether or not American Express cards are accepted at their store. Except that with the <a href=\"https:\/\/mp-2702.milesopedia.dev\/en\/news\/programs\/sceneplus-iga-sobeys-air-miles\/\">introduction<\/a> of the Scene+ program in place of AIR MILES as the IGA\/Sobeys loyalty card, it&#8217;s becoming urgent for IGA grocery stores to accept American Express cards. In fact, <a href=\"https:\/\/mp-2702.milesopedia.dev\/en\/cards\/scotiabank\/\">Scotiabank<\/a> &#8211; one of the owners of the <a href=\"https:\/\/mp-2702.milesopedia.dev\/en\/reward-program\/sceneplus\/\"> Scene+ program<\/a>, along with the Empire Group (IGA\/Sobeys, etc.) &#8211; issues 3 American Express credit cards. <a href=\"https:\/\/mp-2702.milesopedia.dev\/en\/best-credit-cards-in-canada\/sceneplus\/\">Scene+<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Are you an IGA customer with an American Express card?
