The “My Dream Trip with Aeroplan<\/strong>” Contest is presented by Milesopedia (the “Organizer<\/strong>“), in partnership with Aeroplan (the “Partner<\/strong>“).<\/p>\n

  1. CONTEST OBJECTIVE<\/strong>\n
      \n
    1. The primary objective of the Contest is to drive engagement and participation among Aeroplan program members by encouraging them to explore and use their points for travel. By inviting Participants to submit travel ideas using Aeroplan<\/a> points, the Contest aims to highlight the flexibility and value of the Aeroplan program, while inspiring members to consider new ways to use their points. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    2. PRICE<\/strong>\n
        \n
      1. Three (3) Grand Prizes are available to be won, consisting of:\n
          \n
        1. A draw for 25,000 Aeroplan points open to all eligible Participants;<\/li>\n
        2. A Prize of 75,000 Aeroplan points will be awarded to the eligible Participant who proposes the most original Trip<\/a> within North America using Aeroplan points; and,<\/li>\n
        3. A Prize of 100,000 Aeroplan points<\/a> will be awarded to the eligible Participant who proposes the most original Trip outside of North America using Aeroplan points.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
        4. CONTEST PERIOD<\/strong>\n
            \n
          1. The Contest begins on April 1, 2024, at 8:00 AM ET and ends on April 30, 2024, at 11:59 PM ET (hereinafter the “Period<\/strong>“). The announcement of the Winner(s) will take place on May 31, 2024, on social media, on the milesopedia<\/a>.com website, and in the Organizer’s newsletter on June 2, 2024. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
          2. ELIGIBILITY<\/strong>\n
              \n
            1. The Contest is open to all residents of Canada<\/a> who have reached the legal age of majority in their province or territory of residence prior to the Contest Period and who are active members of the Aeroplan loyalty program (the “Eligible Participant<\/strong>“).\n
                \n
              1. If the Participant is not an Aeroplan member, they can visit the Aeroplan website (aircanada.com\/aeroplan<\/a>) to create a free Aeroplan account<\/a> before April 30, 2024.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
              2. Employees, representatives, or agents of Milesopedia, Air Canada, Aeroplan, its subsidiaries and affiliated entities, its media partners, and advertising and promotion agencies, as well as immediate family members (parents, children, siblings, and spouse, regardless of where they reside) of such employees, representatives, or agents and persons with whom they are domiciled, are not eligible for the Contest (the “Ineligible Participants<\/strong>“).<\/li>\n
              3. By participating in the Contest, each eligible participant acknowledges and agrees that the Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Aeroplan, Air Canada<\/a>, or any of its affiliates, and that the sponsoring partner is entirely responsible for the conduct and administration of the contest, including the selection of the Winner(s) and the distribution of prizes.<\/li>\n
              4. This Contest is in no way associated with, endorsed by, or managed by Meta (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp), TikTok, or LinkedIn (each a “Social Platform<\/strong>“). By participating in this Contest, the Participant:\n
                  \n
                1. Fully releases each of the Social Platforms from any and all liability.<\/li>\n
                2. Acknowledges providing information to the Organizer and the Partner, and not to the Social Platforms.<\/li>\n
                3. Address any questions, comments or complaints regarding the Contest to the Contest Organizer and the relevant Social Platform.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                4. PARTICIPATION MANAGEMENT TOOL<\/strong>\n
                    \n
                  1. One-stop shopping<\/strong>: Although several communication tools are used for the Contest, Participants are redirected to a single location to register.<\/li>\n
                  2. No purchase necessary<\/strong>: To enter, individuals must follow the instructions posted on the Organizer’s social media and\/or website, which will redirect them to the entry form<\/a> (the “Form<\/strong>“).<\/li>\n
                  3. Registration<\/strong>: To be eligible, Participants must fully complete the Form, as detailed in Article 6. This will be accessible throughout the Period at https:\/\/mp-2702.milesopedia.dev\/actualites\/gagnez-points-concours-aeroplan\/<\/a>. The information provided must be correct and verifiable. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                  4. HOW TO PARTICIPATE<\/strong>\n
                      \n
                    1. Participation in the Contest takes place in two (2) stages.\n
                        \n
                      1. To win 25,000 Aeroplan points:<\/strong> Anyone who properly completes the Form will be granted a chance to win the (1) Prize of 25,000 Aeroplan points.\n
                          \n
                        1. To participate in this part of the Contest, eligible Participants must provide their first name, last name, and email address during the Contest Period.<\/li>\n
                        2. Maximum of one (1) entry per person for this part of the Contest (“Eligible Entry<\/strong>“) during the Period. Please note that duplicate registrations will be removed from the list of Eligible Participants. <\/li>\n
                        3. Eligible Entries for the part described in Article 6.2 will also be included.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                        4. To win up to 175,000 Aeroplan points:<\/strong> Any Participant may submit multiple Eligible Entries during the Contest Period.\n
                            \n
                          1. To participate in this part of the Contest, in addition to providing their first name, last name, and email address in the Form during the Period, eligible Participants must describe their dream trip (the “Trip<\/strong>“) made possible through the use of Aeroplan points.<\/li>\n
                          2. Any Participant may submit their Travel Projects (“Travel Project<\/strong>“) multiple times by completing the Form accessible at the URL mentioned in Articles 5.2 and 5.3.<\/li>\n
                          3. By entering the Contest, each eligible Participant agrees to comply with the Content Restrictions, as defined below.<\/li>\n
                          4. An eligible Participant who has submitted itineraries for both segments (North America and outside North America) is eligible to receive the Prize of 75,000 and\/or 100,000 Aeroplan points.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                          5. CONTENT RESTRICTIONS<\/strong>\n
                              \n
                            1. The Contest Organizer may, at its sole discretion, disqualify a Participant from the Contest if it believes that the Entry does not comply with any or all of the following restrictions (collectively, the “Content Restrictions<\/strong>“) regarding the Travel Project:\n
                                \n
                              1. It must be an original creation of the eligible Participant and must not contain illegal, copied, defamatory, or hateful elements, or disparage the Organizer, the Partner, or any other person or party.<\/li>\n
                              2. It must be consistent with the image and values of the Contest Organizer and the Partner, and must comply with and satisfy the objective of the Contest.<\/li>\n
                              3. The eligible Participant must propose a Trip including Flight Reward(s) and\/or Hotel(s) and\/or Car Rental<\/a>(s) and\/or Vacation Package(s), in which they detail the use of their Aeroplan points (covering the cost of the Trip in part or in full).<\/li>\n
                              4. Any trip already booked, completed, or planned may be submitted to the Organizer by the eligible Participant.<\/li>\n
                              5. No proof of booking is required for the Trip submitted to the Organizer.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                              6. COMPLIANCE WITH REGULATIONS<\/strong>\n
                                  \n
                                1. To be considered an Eligible Entry, any application must:\n
                                    \n
                                  1. Be submitted in accordance with these Rules during the applicable Contest Period;<\/li>\n
                                  2. Include all the required elements mentioned above corresponding to the part in which the person wishes to participate; and,<\/li>\n
                                  3. Comply with these Contest Rules and the general conditions listed below for each Prize.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                                  4. By participating in the Contest, the Participant confirms that they have read these Contest Rules and agree to comply with and be legally bound by them.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                                  5. SELECTION OF THE WINNER(S)<\/strong>\n
                                      \n
                                    1. The Selection of the Contest Winner(s) is done in two (2) parts.\n
                                        \n
                                      1. One (1) Prize of 25,000 Aeroplan points:<\/strong>\n
                                          \n
                                        1. A random draw will be conducted from all Eligible Entries.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                                        2. One (1) Prize of 75,000 and one (1) Prize of 100,000 Aeroplan points:<\/strong>\n
                                            \n
                                          1. Between May 1 and May 10, 2024, a committee of experts from the Organizer will analyze all Travel Projects submitted by eligible Participants and will establish a shortlist of twelve (12) Trips to recommend to the Partner: six (6) in North America and six (6) outside of North America.<\/li>\n
                                          2. Between May 13 and May 17, 2024, a committee of experts from the Partner will analyze the Organizer’s recommendations and select three (3) Travel Projects for each of the segments, i.e., for destinations in North America and outside of North America.<\/li>\n
                                          3. Between May 19, 2024, at 9:00 AM ET and May 26, 2024, at 11:59 PM ET, the six (6) Travel Projects selected by the expert committees will be submitted to a popular vote by all Participants and readers, through the Organizer’s website and Social Platforms, to determine the other two Winning Projects.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                                          4. CONTACTING THE WINNER(S)<\/strong>\n
                                              \n
                                            1. The Winner(s) will be contacted by email.<\/li>\n
                                            2. In order to meet the schedule for announcing the Contest results, to be declared a winner, the contacted Participant must respond to the Organizer’s communications within 48 hours.<\/li>\n
                                            3. The Winner(s) are subject to verification, including verification of age and residence.<\/li>\n
                                            4. The announcement of the Winner(s) will take place on May 31, 2024.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                                            5. DISQUALIFICATION<\/strong>\n
                                                \n
                                              1. Failure to comply with each of the conditions set forth in Articles 9 and 10 will result in the selected Participant being disqualified and unable to receive a Prize.<\/li>\n
                                              2. In such a case, the Organizer reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion, to proceed as follows to select a replacement winner:\n
                                                  \n
                                                1. Prize of 25,000 Aeroplan points:<\/strong> conduct another random draw from all Eligible Entries.<\/li>\n
                                                2. Prize of 75,000 or 100,000 Aeroplan points:<\/strong> the Prize will be awarded to the next Travel Project that received the most votes in the corresponding segment.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                                                3. PRIZE CLAIM<\/strong>\n
                                                    \n
                                                  1. Ineligibility<\/strong>\n
                                                      \n
                                                    1. If the winner is ineligible, does not respond within 48 hours after notification, or refuses the Prize, the Organizer will select another winner in accordance with the provisions set out in Article 11.2.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                                                    2. Prize Acceptance<\/strong>\n
                                                        \n
                                                      1. All Prizes must be accepted as described in these rules and cannot be returned, transferred to another person, substituted for another Prize, or exchanged in whole or in part for cash.<\/li>\n
                                                      2. The AE Prizes must be accepted as is. Aeroplan points have no cash value but are redeemable under the Aeroplan program for flights and other rewards. The retail value of rewards obtained using Aeroplan points will vary based on Aeroplan reward schedules and other factors, details of which can be found at https:\/\/www.aircanada.com\/ca\/en\/aco\/home\/aeroplan.html<\/a>. Aeroplan points can only be redeemed in accordance with the Aeroplan program terms and conditions. The full Aeroplan program terms and conditions are available online at https:\/\/www.aircanada.com\/ca\/en\/aco\/home\/aeroplan\/legal\/terms-and-conditions.html<\/a>. <\/li>\n
                                                      3. The Partner and the Organizer are not responsible for any fees, taxes, or other expenses related to the use of the Prize, which are the responsibility of the Winner.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                                                      4. Prize Substitution<\/strong>\n
                                                          \n
                                                        1. The Organizer reserves the right, at its sole discretion and for any reason, to substitute a Prize or any part of it with a prize of equal or greater value, including, but not limited to, the cash value of the Prize.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                                                        2. PRIZE COLLECTION<\/strong>\n
                                                            \n
                                                          1. Upon receiving the selected Participant\u2019s contact information, the Organizer will send the winner an email outlining the procedures for claiming their Prize.<\/li>\n
                                                          2. The Partner agrees to credit the Prize to the Winner’s Aeroplan account<\/a> within 10 days following the announcement of the Winner(s).<\/li>\n
                                                          3. The Prize booking will be confirmed within 10 days once the winner(s) have met the requirements described herein.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                                                          4. ADVERTISING<\/strong>\n
                                                              \n
                                                            1. By participating in this Contest, the eligible Participant agrees to receive emails regarding the Contest from the Organizer.<\/li>\n
                                                            2. The Winner(s) then authorize the Organizer, the Partner, and their respective advertising and promotional agencies to broadcast, publish, and otherwise use their name, photograph, image, statement regarding the Contest or any Prize, city, and\/or voice for advertising purposes, without any form of compensation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                                                            3. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY<\/strong>\n
                                                                \n
                                                              1. Aeroplan<\/a> (R) is a registered trademark of Aeroplan Inc. and Air Canada (R) and the Air Canada maple leaf logo are registered trademarks of Air Canada; these marks are used by the sponsoring partner under authorization. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                                                              2. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY<\/strong>\n
                                                                  \n
                                                                1. Milesopedia is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete or misdirected entries, or for technical failures.<\/li>\n
                                                                2. By participating in the Contest, each eligible participant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Aeroplan, Air Canada, its subsidiaries and affiliates, as well as each of their officers, directors, employees, agents, representatives, subcontractors, and affiliates from any liability regarding any claim or action, loss, fine, or legal fees arising, directly or indirectly, from the contest and its administration, the contest prizes, and related activities.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                                                                3. RIGHTS<\/a><\/strong>\n
                                                                    \n
                                                                  1. The Organizer reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest, or any part thereof, in the event that fraudulent activity, technical failure, human error, or any other factor compromises the integrity or proper conduct of the Contest, as determined by the Organizer at its sole discretion.\n
                                                                      \n
                                                                    1. In such an event, the Organizer may choose, at its sole discretion, to conduct a random draw from all eligible entries received up to the date of interruption for any or all of the Prizes offered in this Contest.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                                                                    2. The Organizer reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any person who attempts to unduly influence the entry process or the conduct of the Contest, or who does not comply with the Official Rules of the latter or any other activity, or who acts in an unfair or disruptive manner.\n
                                                                        \n
                                                                      1. Any attempt to unduly influence the proper conduct of the Contest by any person constitutes a violation of the Criminal and Civil Code.<\/li>\n
                                                                      2. The Organizer reserves the right to prosecute any person who attempts to unduly influence the proper conduct of the Contest to the extent permitted by law in order to obtain compensation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                                                                      3. The Organizer\u2019s failure to enforce any provision of these official guidelines does not constitute a waiver of that provision by the Organizer.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                                                                      4. LAW AND JURISDICTION<\/strong>\n
                                                                          \n
                                                                        1. Participants agree that these Rules are governed by the laws of the province of Quebec<\/a> and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Where applicable, Participants irrevocably submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of the province of Quebec sitting in the district of Montreal<\/a> for any dispute arising from this Agreement or its interpretation. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                                                                        2. PRIVACY<\/strong>\n
                                                                            \n
                                                                          1. By participating in this Contest, each eligible Participant consents to the collection, use, and disclosure of their personal information by the Organizer for the purposes of conducting the Contest or for any other purpose to which they consent. Once submitted, Entries become the exclusive property of the Organizer and will not be returned. Personal information will be used to verify Participants’ eligibility for the Contest and to award the Prizes. <\/li>\n
                                                                          2. Personal information may be used and disclosed to third parties whose services the Organizer retains for storage, market research, Contest management, or other similar services, subject to applicable laws regarding the protection of personal information and the Organizer’s internal policy to that effect. This information could be used by both companies (i) for the proper administration and fulfillment of the Contest; (ii) to send newsletters to Participants regarding events, products, and services of both companies.                                                                           3. NAME OF THE WINNER(S)<\/strong>\n
