The “Halloween Bonus” Contest is presented by Milesopedia (the “Organizer<\/strong>“) in partnership with Scotiabank (the “Partner<\/strong>“).<\/p>\n

  1. CONTEST OBJECTIVE<\/strong>\n
      \n
    1. The main aim of the Contest is to engage and involve Scene+ members by testing their knowledge of the program while encouraging members to think of new ways to use their points.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    2. PRICE<\/strong>\n
        \n
      1. The Prize is 10,000 Scene+ points<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
      2. CONTEST PERIOD<\/strong>\n
          \n
        1. The Contest begins on October 21, 2024 at 8:00 a.m. ET and ends on October 27, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. ET (hereinafter the “Period<\/strong>“).<\/li>\n
        2. The Winner will be announced during the week of October 28, 2024, upon receipt of the signed Disclosure Consent Form (on social media, on the milesopedia<\/a>.com website).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
        3. ELIGIBILITY<\/strong>\n
            \n
          1. The Contest is open to all residents of Canada who have reached the legal age of majority in their province or territory of residence before the Contest Period and who are active members of the Scene+ loyalty program (the \u201cEligible Participant<\/strong>\u201d).\n
              \n
            1. If the Participant is not a member of Scene+, he or she may visit the Scene+ website(www.sceneplus.ca\/fr-ca\/register)<\/a> before<\/span>October 27, 2024.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
            2. Employees, representatives, or agents of Milesopedia, Scene+, Scotiabank<\/a>, its subsidiaries and affiliated entities, its media partners and advertising and promotional agencies, as well as members of the immediate family (parents, children, brothers and sisters, and spouse, regardless of where they live) of such employees, representatives, or agents, and persons with whom they reside, are not eligible to enter the Contest (the \u201cIneligible Participants<\/strong>\u201d).<\/li>\n
            3. By entering the Contest, each eligible participant acknowledges and agrees that the Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Scotiabank, Scene+, or any of their affiliated companies, and that the sponsoring partner is solely responsible for the conduct and administration of the Contest, including the selection of the Winner and the distribution of prizes.<\/li>\n
            4. This Contest is in no way associated with, approved, or administered by Meta (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp), TikTok, or LinkedIn (each a \u201cSocial Platform<\/strong>\u201d). By entering this Contest, the Participant:\n
                \n
              1. Fully releases each of the Social Platforms from any and all liability.<\/li>\n
              2. Acknowledges that they are providing information to the Organizer and the Partner, and not to the Social Platforms.<\/li>\n
              3. Address any questions, comments or complaints regarding the Contest to the Contest Organizer and the relevant Social Platform.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
              4. PARTICIPATION MANAGEMENT TOOL<\/strong>\n
                  \n
                1. One-stop shopping<\/strong>: Although several communication tools are used for the Contest, Participants are redirected to a single location to register.<\/li>\n
                2. No purchase necessary<\/strong>: To enter, individuals must follow the instructions posted on the Organizer\u2019s social media and\/or website, which will direct them to the entry form<\/a> (the \u201cForm<\/strong>\u201d).<\/li>\n
                3. Registration<\/strong>: To be eligible, Participants must complete the Form in full, as detailed in Article 6. It will be available throughout the Period on our Events and Contests<\/a> page. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                4. HOW TO PARTICIPATE<\/strong>\n
                    \n
                  1. To enter the Contest, Eligible Participants must properly complete the Form (last name, first name, and email address) and answer the Quiz during the Contest Period, regardless of the answer given. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                  2. COMPLIANCE WITH REGULATIONS<\/strong>\n
                      \n
                    1. To be considered an Eligible Entry, any submission must:\n
                        \n
                      1. Be submitted in accordance with these Rules during the applicable Contest Period;<\/li>\n
                      2. Complete the form in full;<\/li>\n
                      3. Comply with these Contest Rules and the general conditions listed below for each Prize.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                      4. By entering the Contest, the Participant confirms that they have read these Contest Rules and agree to comply with them and be legally bound by them.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                      5. WINNER SELECTION<\/strong>\n
                          \n
                        1. A random draw will be held among all Eligible Entries on October 28, 2024, among Eligible Participants (1 chance per Eligible Participant). <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                        2. WINNER’S CONTACT<\/strong>\n
                            \n
                          1. The Winner will be contacted the same day by e-mail and asked to sign a disclosure consent form (name and photo).<\/li>\n
                          2. The Participant authorizes Milesopedia, Scotia, and Scene+ to contact them and acknowledges that they may unsubscribe from these communications at any time.<\/span><\/li>\n
                          3. In order to meet the Contest results announcement timeline, to be declared the winner, the contacted Participant must respond to the Organizer\u2019s communications within 48 hours.<\/li>\n
                          4. The Winner is subject to verification, including confirmation of their age and residency.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                          5. DISQUALIFICATION<\/strong>\n
                              \n
                            1. If any of the conditions set out in Article 9 are not met, the selected Participant will be disqualified and will not be able to receive the Prize.<\/li>\n
                            2. In this case, the Organizer reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion, to conduct another draw among all eligible Entries.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                            3. PRIZE CLAIM<\/strong>\n
                                \n
                              1. Ineligibility<\/strong>\n
                                  \n
                                1. If the winner is ineligible, does not respond within 48 hours after notification, or refuses the Prize, the Organizer will draw another winner from the eligible Participants in accordance with the provisions set out in Article 11.2.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                                2. Prize Acceptance<\/strong>\n
                                    \n
                                  1. The Prize must be accepted as described in these rules and may not be returned, transferred to another person, or substituted for another prize, nor exchanged in whole or in part for cash.<\/li>\n
                                  2. The Prize must be accepted as awarded.<\/li>\n
                                  3. The Participant understands that the Contest is administered entirely by the Organizer (Milesopedia) and that, as such, the sponsors (Scene+ and Scotiabank) have no responsibility for its conduct or for the selection of the Winner; their sole responsibility is the distribution of the 10,000 Scene+ points prize to the Winner identified by the Organizer.<\/span><\/li>\n
                                  4. The Partner and the Organizer are not responsible for any fees, taxes, or other expenses related to the use of the Prize, which are the responsibility of the Winner.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                                  5. Prize Substitution<\/strong>\n
                                      \n
                                    1. The Organizer reserves the right, at its sole discretion and for any reason, to substitute a Prize or any part of it with a prize of equal or greater value, including, but not limited to, the cash value of the Prize.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                                    2. PRIZE COLLECTION<\/strong>\n
                                        \n
                                      1. Upon receiving the selected Participant\u2019s contact information, the Organizer will send the winner an email outlining the procedures for claiming their Prize.<\/li>\n
                                      2. The Partner undertakes to credit the Prize to the Winner\u2019s Scene+ account<\/a> within 10 days of the Winner\u2019s announcement.<\/li>\n
                                      3. The Prize reservation will be confirmed within 10 days once the winner has met the requirements outlined herein.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                                      4. ADVERTISING<\/strong>\n
                                          \n
                                        1. By entering this Contest, the Eligible Participant agrees to receive emails from the Organizer regarding the Contest.<\/li>\n
                                        2. The Winner thereby authorizes the Organizer, the Partner, and their respective advertising and promotional agencies to broadcast, publish, and otherwise use their name, photograph, image, statement relating to the Contest or any Prize, city, and\/or voice for advertising purposes, without any form of compensation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                                        3. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY<\/strong>\n
                                            \n
                                          1. SC\u00c8NE is a registered trademark of SCENE<\/a> IP LP (Scene Limited Partnership).<\/span><\/span>
                                            <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                                          2. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY<\/strong>\n
                                              \n
                                            1. Milesopedia is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete or misdirected entries, or for technical failures.<\/li>\n
                                            2. By entering the Contest, each eligible participant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Scene+, Scotiabank, its subsidiaries and affiliated companies, as well as each of their officers, directors, employees, agents, representatives, subcontractors, and affiliated companies from any liability in respect of any claim or action, loss, fine, or legal fees arising, directly or indirectly, from the contest and its administration, the contest prizes, and related activities.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                                            3. RIGHTS<\/a><\/strong>\n
                                                \n
                                              1. The Organizer reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest, or any part of it, in the event that fraudulent activity, a technical failure, human error, or any other factor compromises the integrity or proper conduct of the Contest, as determined by the Organizer in its sole discretion.\n
                                                  \n
                                                1. In such an event, the Organizer may choose, in its sole discretion, to conduct a random draw among all eligible entries received up to the interruption date for the Prize offered in this Contest.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                                                2. The Organizer reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any person who attempts to improperly influence the entry process or the conduct of the Contest, or who fails to comply with these Official Rules or any other activity, or who acts in an unfair or disruptive manner.\n
                                                    \n
                                                  1. Any attempt by any person to improperly influence the proper conduct of the Contest constitutes an offence under criminal and civil law.<\/li>\n
                                                  2. The Organizer reserves the right to prosecute any person who attempts to unduly influence the proper conduct of the Contest to the extent permitted by law in order to obtain compensation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                                                  3. The Organizer\u2019s failure to enforce any provision of these official guidelines does not constitute a waiver of that provision by the Organizer.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                                                  4. LAW AND JURISDICTION<\/strong>\n
                                                      \n
                                                    1. Participants agree that these Rules are governed by the laws of the province of Quebec<\/a> and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Where applicable, Participants irrevocably submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of the province of Quebec sitting in the district of Montreal<\/a> for any dispute arising from this Agreement or its interpretation. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                                                    2. PRIVACY<\/strong>\n
                                                        \n
                                                      1. By entering this Contest, each Eligible Participant consents to the collection, use, and disclosure of their personal information by the Organizer for the purposes of administering the Contest or for any other purpose to which they consent. Once submitted, Entries become the exclusive property of the Organizer and will not be returned. Personal information will be used to verify Participants\u2019 eligibility for the Contest and to award the Prize. <\/li>\n
                                                      2. Personal information may be used and disclosed to third parties retained by the Organizer for storage, market research, contest management, or other similar services, subject to applicable personal information protection laws and the Organizer\u2019s internal policy in this regard. This information may be used by both companies (i) for the proper administration and conduct of the Contest; (ii) to send newsletters<\/a> to Participants relating to the events, products, and services of both companies. To unsubscribe from commercial mailing lists, use the unsubscribe link in any commercial e-mail you receive.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                                                      3. WINNER’S NAME<\/strong>\n
                                                          \n
                                                        1. In the interests of transparency, the name of the Winner will be published on the Events and Competitions page of the Organizer’s website:https:\/\/mp-2702.milesopedia.dev\/en\/events-contest\/<\/a><\/li>\n
